Talks about someone else's needs
Does the purpose talk about us or about what we provide for someone else? A good purpose should express how you impact the lives of others.
Allows exploration
Does the purpose allows to explore new opportunities beyond current offerings, even radical and disruptive, without fundamentally changing the business they are in? Not too narrow, not too wide.
focus on end-result
Does the purpose focus on the end-result we accomplish for their customers? What is it our customers can do, accomplish, or reach?
It's stretchy enough
Is the purpose ‘stretchy’ enough so as to mobilize action? It should seem achievable but still a challenge. Can it expand or adapt in the future as we make progress?
